Invitation

The Knickerbocker Sailing Association invites you to participate in Stonewall Sails - New York's 8th Gay Pride Regatta.   Knickerbocker Sailing Association is excited to announce that Stonewall Sails will this year be hosted this year by Hudson River Community Sailing, a non-profit sailing program dedicated to community sailing with an emphasis on youth sailing.

Rules

 

 

 

The regatta will be governed by the 2005-2008 Racing Rules of Sailing (RRS), the J/24 Class Rules (www.j24class.org/usa/rules), and the Sailing Instructions.  Additional rules may be deemed by Hudson River Community Sailing.

Eligibility

 

 

The Knickerbocker Sailing Association Stonewall Pride Regatta is open to all sailors who are Knickerbocker Sailing Association Members members at the time of the race.  Knickerbocker Sailing Association is open to the public.  So, join and come racing!

 

Schedule

 

 

9am - Coffee

9:30am - MANDITORY SKIPPERS MEETING

10am - 2pm Racing

2:30PM Awards Ceremony aboard the Frying Pan

 

 

Courses

 

 

 

Courses will be windward-leeward as described in the Sailing Instructions.

 

 

Scoring

 

 

 

The Low Point Scoring System, Appendix A of the racing rules, will apply. Five (5) races are scheduled, of which one (1) race shall be completed to constitute a series. If more than five (5) races are completed, one will count as a throwaway in calculating each team's final score.

 

Awards

 

 

 

Prizes will be awarded to the top three finishers. Additional awards may be made at the discretion of the Race Committee.

 

Registration

 

 

Registration is open to teams of four.  If you are an individual interested in racing, please contact the racing coordinator.

 
Crew members need to fill out the registration form and submit their registration fee by check made out to KSA.
